Sandia Mountains Chapter

In September 2015, we moved to our new meeting location at the North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center (7521 Carmel Ave NE). We meet on the second Tuesday of the Month (except May-August & December) 9:00 am Social; 9:30 Meeting. Please join us if you are in the “Land of Enchantment”.

Sandia Mountains Chapter has had a busy fall and early winter, with great programs, stitch in’s, sampler group and beading groups meeting regularly. Marion Scoular was here in September for two blackwork workshops Celtic Knot and Rapunzel. And then presented “Three Years at the Royal School of Needlework” for our September meeting. What an amazing woman!

December was our Annual “Silent Auction Swap” with the proceeds going to the Scholarship Fund.

January 12: Hands on program using polymer clay, presented by Hettie van Tonder.

February 9: Annual Mini Workshops: Hardanger Ornament with Carole Rinard, Hem Stitching with Jane Moses, Kogin Embroidery Bookmark with Shirley Kay Wolfersperger and Square Stitch Beaded Halloween Bracelet with Judy Iacoletti

March 8: “Embroideries of Past Generations” presented by Annlouise Gent.

April 12: Special Program

May 9: Annual Spring Luncheon – Location to be announced.

Fall 2017 we will be hosting Toni Gerdes teaching Autumn 3 Ways.

Stitch in’s are held on the first and third Tuesday at member’s homes. Beading group meets the fourth Tuesday at North Domingo Baca Center beginning at 10:00 am and the Sampler Group meets monthly on the fourth Thursday in member’s homes.
